Field Trip to Land's Sake Farm

Friday, August 26, 2011 Rabbi /Farmer Joseph Berman invited us to visit Land's Sake Farm in Weston, MA to show us what he does when not engaged in Temple duties over the summer.  A small group of us were treated to a tour of the farm by the Rabbi followed by a wonderful lunch of fresh vegetables grown at the farm including the most delicious sweet corn you've ever eaten.  Rabbi Berman described the produce growing in the fields and what it takes to make it grow.  He also showed us the farm machinery which was the highlight of the day for Sue Huberman's grandson Sammy who also had a great time climbing and swinging on a tree.
